
DraftKings gears up for NFL season with ad campaign
‘Welcome to the Big Time’ campaign set for launch as operator goes head to head with rival FanDuel
Daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings will launch a new âWelcome to the Big Timeâ TV ad campaign on FOX this weekend as the operator gears up for the NFL season. [private]
The campaign is the first from advertising and marketing agency Butler, Shine Stern & Partners, and aims to highlight the DraftKings user experience.
The initial series of five adverts will be voiced by actor and filmmaker Edward Norton, with a second wave of ads set to roll out in September.
â’Welcome to the Big Time’ is the perfect anthem for the DraftKings brand on multiple levels,â DraftKings VP of marketing, Anthony Pitts, said.
âThe ‘Big Time’ speaks to a level of fan interaction that is engaging and exhilarating, in addition to prizes and money-canât-buy experiences that only DraftKings can deliver,â he added.
A series of ads specific to football will air on 30 August on FOX, ESPN, NBC and CBS.
FOX was an investor in DraftKings latest $300m funding round, while ESPN struck a $250m ad deal with the operator prior to the funding round completing.
The news comes after DraftKings revealed it had joined forces with restaurant chain Hooters, and also confirmed plans to build three new Fantasy Sports Lounges in the coming weeks.
