Under the deal, the daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator will have the right to employ active NFL players for in-product and promotional campaigns across multiple channels including broadcast, print, social media, digital and mobile properties, as well as via experiential, memorabilia and content activations.
âThe NFL season is one of the most important times of the year for DraftKings and the DFS industry, so to be able to feature NFL players as part of our marketing efforts adds a level of excitement and connectivity to the game that is a huge win for us and our community,â Jeremy Elbaum, DraftKings VP of business development, said.
The deal comes after it was revealed DraftKings spent almost $20m on advertising and marketing in the opening week of the NFL season. The Boston-based firm also announced it would start offering markets on the fast-growing eSports sector.
