
Basketball legend Michael Jordan invests in Sportradar
Former NBA star among roster of investors as sports data supplier secures new funding round
Sportradar has secured a new funding round led by investment group Revolution Growth, with a number of other investors including former NBA star Michael Jordan. [private]
The roster of investors includes Revolution co-founder and Washington Capitals, Wizards and Mystics owner Ted Leonsis, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Charlotte Hornets owner Jordan.
Europe-based Sportsradar, which supplies sports data to the likes of the NFL, NASCAR and the NHL, said its new investors would join its board and help grow its product offering and footprint in North America.

âTheir intimate knowledge of the US sports and media market will help us develop cutting-edge real-time data products that will change how sports are consumed in the future,â he added.
Sportradar, which is headquartered in Switzerland by has US offices in Minneapolis, San Francisco and New York, entered the US market back in 2013.
