All Star Daily Fantasy is a virtual currency-based game and is available through FlowPlayâs flagship VegasWorld app.
The developer said the launch was the latest in its growing portfolio of social sports games, but was the first to âtruly replicateâ the the real-money DFS experience.
All Star Daily Fantasy offers the same individual tournaments and 50/50 contests found on the likes of FanDuel and DraftKings, and uses the salary cap format.
The game has launched with NBA contests, and FlowPlay will add other sports including college contests, NHL, MLB and NFL throughout the year.
The developer said the recent DraftKings data leak scandal and growing regulatory uncertainty had left a gap in the market for social DFS and sports wagering games.
“FlowPlay is leveraging our experience in the casual games industry to introduce a completely new model that is sustainable and legal,â FlowPlay CEO Derrick Morton, said.
âSocial sports wagering games are a viable alternative to the embattled DFS industry, and supply an appealing experience for millions of sports enthusiasts that have been largely alienated by current offerings.â
Late last year FlowPlay launched 5 Card Draft, a game it said âbridged the gapâ between daily fantasy sports and social gaming.Â
