Partypoker shakes things up with new Sit & Go game

Sit & Go Hero offers players the chance to win up to 10,000 times their buy-in

Partypoker has rolled out a new twist to the sit & go game format with players given the chance to win up to 10,000 times their buy-in. [private]

The poker operator this morning launched Sit & Go Hero, a “fast-paced” bounty tournament with a bonus worth up to $50,000.

The game offers five buy-ins, $1, $3, $5, $10, and $20, with random draws determining the multiplier and total prize pool, plus which player has the bounty on their head.

Partypoker, which is now owned by GVC Holdings following its acquisition of bwin.party, said the winner of Sit & Go Hero will take home 75% of the prize pool with the rest used to fund the bounty. 

Tom Waters, group head of partypoker, said the operator wanted to put a twist on the traditional sit & go format and offer players “something unique” in the marketplace.

“With Sit & Go Hero we believe we have done just that,” Waters said.  

“Our existing bounty MTTs are very popular with our players and the added bonus of a bounty in every game of Sit & Go Hero, combined with huge jackpots of up to 10,000 times the player’s stake, is set to shake things up for players of all bankrolls,” he added. 

 Last month partypoker revealed it had re-entered a number of grey market territories following the GVC takeover while last year the brand underwent an ecology overhaul to “level the playing field” for customers.
