Slots Tracker: Rankings unchanged in July as Light & Wonder and IGT continue to dominate
88 Fortunes secures top spot going into H2 as IGT titles jockey for position in top-six
Light & Wonder’s 88 Fortunes maintained its stay at the top of the US slots rankings going into July with IGT struggling to break the stranglehold of its rival.
IGT slots Cash Eruption, Cleopatra and Fortune Coin came in second, third and fourth respectively, having shuffled up and down the rankings over previous months, while Evolution’s Divine Fortune dropped one place to fifth.
Cats by IGT was the biggest winner in July, climbing three places to sixth position, while Light & Wonder’s Jin Ji Bao Xi Endless Treasure and Hurricane Horse both dropped three places to ninth and 14th respectively.
Non-movers in July included ReelPlay’s Hypernova MegaWays, Evolution-Big Time Gaming’s Bonanza, IGT’s Cleopatra Gold and Light & Wonder’s Lightning Horseman.
Wild Streak’s Dragon Power was the big faller during July, dropping four places to 18th.
July saw three new entries all with an animal theme; Light & Wonder’s Chicken Fox, Chicken Fox 5x Skillstar and IGT’s Great Bear, who all made their debut in this month’s rankings at 10th, 16th and 13th respectively.
Our sole re-entrant in July was Evolution-Big Time Gaming’s Extra Chilli, coming in at 20th position.
A total of 28 sites were scrutinized as part of the June tri-state sample, including 155 webpages and 1,274 games.
Games are ranked by their position throughout the month across all online casino sites in New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Only the ‘main’ page of the casinos is taken into account and the top 20 most prominent positions on those pages.
The ranking is calculated as the total number of hours the game was in the top 20 positions throughout the month. Each casino page is tracked at least once every 24 hours. Table games such as roulette and blackjack are excluded from the rankings, as are live casino games.
