888 secures igaming deal extension with Delaware Lottery
The partnership has been extended to 2022, with Delaware Lottery poker revenues for May coming in at $187,945

888 has extended its exclusive supply agreement to provide its igaming platform and poker network to the Delaware Lottery for a further two years through to 2022.
The operator has partnered with Delaware Lottery since 2013, with customers in the First State afforded access to its suite of online casino games and and proprietary poker technology.
888’s interstate poker network allows for shared liquidity pools with New Jersey and Nevada players and includes the World Series of Poker platform in partnership with Caesars.
Yaniv Sherman, SVP of business development at 888, said the company was continuing to explore potential growth opportunities in the US following the extension.
Sherman added: “This contract extension demonstrates the strength of our relationship with the Delaware Lottery as well as the quality of our outstanding technology platform. The State of Delaware has been a pioneer in the developing US igaming market and we are delighted to further extend our partnership.
“888 has been committed to the US igaming market for several years. We remain incredibly excited by the growth potential for the business across both our B2B and B2C operations in this developing and potentially significant market,” he added.
Vernon Kirk, Delaware Lottery director, said: “888 has been a valued partner since the Delaware Lottery launched its pioneering igaming offering through the websites of Delaware’s three casinos.”
Delaware reported a record igaming revenue of $1.1m in May, with poker accounting for 17% at $187,945.
Fellow poker states New Jersey and Pennsylvania saw a significant uptick in poker and online casino revenues during the coronavirus lockdown, but many believe the peak is behind us as states start to re-open.
888 recently said it expects full-year 2020 financial results to be “significantly ahead” of its prior expectations, buoyed by a 34% year-on-year rise in average daily revenue during H1 2020.
The operator’s CEO Itai Pazner said: “We have delivered a particularly encouraging performance in poker which reflects the strength of our product and ongoing focus on providing a safe and entertaining destination for recreational poker players.”
In other news, Delaware-based players will not be eligible to participate in this summer’s WSOP online bracelet events, with only those in Nevada and New Jersey able to enter.
