888 to build local team with US marketing chief hire
Operator is seeking a US marketing chief to build a small local team at its New Jersey headquarters

888 is looking to hire a senior marketeer to lead its US marketing efforts and build out a local team in New Jersey.
The operator is considering local candidates with online marketing experience from both inside and outside the industry.
It is planning to establish a small team of marketing staff to take on various roles including CRM and product marketing.
Speaking to EGR, SVP head of commercial development Yaniv Sherman said: “We’re trying to inject more content-specific DNA.
“The US role is not just about sports, it’s also about casino and poker and other verticals as we have a multi-product approach.
“But as most states are regulating betting first, sports has to be a leading factor in any nominee.”
Sherman said the firm had received interest from the land-based sector, but it was looking specifically for a candidate with online marketing experience.
“It’s a not a massive recruitment drive because we don’t need to bring that many people in as we’re still operating on our same tech stack,” Sherman said.
888’s US marketing is largely being done out of its Israel headquarters at the moment.
It has a casino sponsorship deal with the NFL’s New York Jets.
