Bet365 hires AGA director to help US rollout
UK-headquartered firm hires Will Green for a still-to-be-determined role

Bet365 has hired American Gaming Association (AGA) director Will Green to help the operator’s US expansion, EGR can reveal.
Green, who is currently senior director of state policy at the AGA, will start his new role at the UK-headquartered bookmaker next month.
He does not yet have an official title, but EGR understands he will be assisting the bookmaker’s US expansion plans.
Green has been with the AGA since January 2017, and in his most recent role he “provided information and analysis on legislative and regulatory proposals in the states related to gaming”, according to the AGA website.
Prior to that Green was an analyst at industry news outlet Legal Sports Report.

The hire is the latest sign of bet365’s US ambitions, which have seen the operator hire lobbyists in New York and secure a licensing partnership in New Jersey with the Hard Rock.
The firm is the largest online operator in the world, according to the EGR Power 50 rankings, while US research firm Eilers and Krejick has called the Stoke-headquartered firm the “800 pound gorilla” in the US market.
Eilers and Krejick added: “One thing we’re sure about; the path to market that bet365 chooses will have a material impact on how legal US sports betting rolls out.”
