Bet365 to launch prepaid card in New Jersey
Operators partners with Australian firm EML Payments for reloadable card

Bet365 has partnered with Australian payments provider EML Payments to develop a bet365-branded card to smooth the payments journey for New Jersey customers.
The card will allow customers to withdraw funds from cashpoints and retail outlets, with gambling transactions still blocked by certain banks and processors in New Jersey.
EML said the card programme was expected to go live in “mid-2019”.
The contract also includes an option for the programme to be expanded to other states as bet365 expands in the US.
EML shares climbed 12% on Tuesday following the announcement. The Australian firm recently announced a similar deal with Swedish operator Betsson.
Bet365 is recognised as the world’s largest online betting company, with revenues of more than £2bn and 4,000-plus employees.
The card programme is the latest sign of the operator’s preparations for launch in New Jersey, which is expected to be around June.
The firm also recently signed a long-term lease on office space in in Evesham Township, New Jersey, close to Philadelphia across the Pennsylvania border.
