BetMGM hires former Penn Interactive VP as chief compliance officer
Rhea Loney joins Entain and MGM Resorts JV following a three-year stint with Philadelphia-based firm

BetMGM has appointed ex-Penn Interactive VP of compliance Rhea Loney as its new chief compliance officer.
Loney joins the MGM Resorts and Entain JV after a three-year stint at Penn Interactive in Philadelphia.
She originally joined Penn Interactive as director of compliance in November 2019 before being named VP of compliance and regulatory affairs in March 2021.
Prior to her time at Penn, Loney spent nearly nine years as the assistant attorney general at the Louisana State Racing Commission.
At the Racing Commission, she provided legal advice across all aspects of the group, as well as drafting new and amended regulations.
Loney also spent seven years at the law firm Magee, Zeringue & Richardson.
In her new role as chief compliance officer, Loney will assume total oversight of the operator’s compliance arm, including legal, governmental and regulatory affairs.
Earlier this year, BetMGM hired ex-Playtech MD Angus Nisbet as its new VP of gaming.
Elsewhere, Entain’s latest financial results revealed BetMGM posted Q3 net gaming revenue of just over $400m (£349m), which was a 90% year-on-year increase.
