BetMGM, The Hockey News announce exclusive partnership
Canada-based hockey publication named exclusive sports betting partner of sportsbook operator

The Hockey News and BetMGM have joined forces in a multi-year partnership, with BetMGM becoming the exclusive sports betting partner of the renowned Canada-based ice hockey magazine.
As part of the deal, The Hockey News journalists will gain access to BetMGM oddsmakers and betting markets, with the two parties collaborating on a host of print and video content.
As a result, The Hockey News will be able to provide unique insights and a behind-the-sportsbook perspective to their audience, which includes more than 1 million readers, in addition to millions more who consume their content across video, podcast and social media platforms. In return, BetMGM will benefit from the increased visibility from its attributed odds and ad placements through the content.
“The Hockey News has long been the trusted leader among hockey fans for the best news and analysis,” said BetMGM chief revenue officer Matt Prevost. “They’re an ideal partner for BetMGM to reach one of the most passionate and knowledgeable fan bases in all of sports.”
The deal is the latest in BetMGM’s ascent up the ranks of sports betting operators in the US. Its online sportsbook is available in 10 states, and features Jamie Foxx as the face of its brand.
“BetMGM is a trusted, well-known operator and we couldn’t be more excited to have found a long-term partner for our sports betting related content,” said W. Graeme Roustan, owner and publisher of The Hockey News.
BetMGM has forged similar partnerships with other frontline media outlets, including Yahoo Sports and The Athletic.
