Betsperts builds on social betting community with acquisition of Fantasy Life App
Sports betting social media start-up expands ecosystem with all-stock transaction to acquire DFS news platform

Sports betting social media platform Betsperts has completed the acquisition of betting and daily fantasy sports (DFS) news brand Fantasy Life App in an all-stock transaction.
The newly combined firm will be renamed Betsperts Media and Technology Group Inc and will become one of the largest sports betting and DFS social media platforms in the world.
Betsperts was originally founded in 2018 and allows users to share information and resources to develop a sports betting community.
Under the remit of the acquisition, Fantasy Life App co-founder Matthew Berry will join the new company as a board member and will also retain a significant minority share in the company.
Following the closure of the transaction, the newly combined firm is actively raising a multi-million-dollar Series A funding round.
The capital acquired via the funding round will be used to “fund growth strategies including talent, adding more content and user acquisition while also making significant advancements in technology”.
Existing investors in the combined venture include Parlay Capital Holdings, Velo Partners and several high profile US sports stars such as MLB’s Evan Longoria, Adam Wainwright and David Price, alongside NBA All Star Richard Jefferson.
Reid Rooney, Betsperts CEO, said: “The acquisition of Fantasy Life App is a major stepping stone in providing our loyal users with advanced capabilities where they’ll be able to not just interact within the community but utilise Betsperts to grow, fortify and effectively monetise their sports betting following much like how influencers leverage other social media platforms.”
Berry added: “The companies are a perfect complement to each other and as gaming in all forms keeps growing in America, I know that bettors and fantasy players alike will continue to look to Betsperts and the Fantasy Life Apps for more ways to interact, educate and entertain themselves.”
