
Camelot Global names new CEO
Wayne Pickup joins from Lotto New Zealand to replace outgoing Nigel Railton


Camelot Global has appointed Wayne Pickup to the role of CEO designate, taking over from Nigel Railton who has been appointed CEO of Camelot UK.
Pickup, who is currently the CEO of Lotto New Zealand, will take up his new role in H1 2018 once he has completed his existing commitments.
Before joining Lotto New Zealand in 2012, Pickup spent four years at gaming and lottery provider IGT.

Bogdan Cenanovic, the chairman of Camelot Global, thanked Nigel Railton for his four years of service at the company.
“Under his leadership, we have made excellent progress in positioning Camelot Global as a leader in digital lottery technology and services, with the recent contract in Illinois being a key component for the company’s future success. I would like to wish Nigel all the very best in his new role.
“At the same time, I’m very pleased to welcome Wayne to Camelot Global,” Cenanovic added.
“Wayne has a great reputation in the industry – during his time at Lotto New Zealand, profits have grown by around 50% and digital sales have increased by over 300%. Prior to that, Wayne also worked in European, North American and Asia Pacific lottery markets. Wayne’s experience will be invaluable to Camelot Global’s future ambitions.”
In addition to the recent 10-year private management contract to run the Illinois Lottery, Camelot Global is also responsible for the Irish National Lottery online platform and mobile app.
