Global Daily Fantasy Sports Inc launches new fantasy network to be headed up by local operator Lottomatica

Canadian white label provider Global Daily Fantasy Sports Inc has announced the launch of an Italian facing DFS network, to be populated by Italian sports betting firms.
The network will be headed up by IGT’s online brand Lottomatica, with other firms expected to join in the near future,
The Lottomatica DFS network reportedly has access to a registered user database of more than 30 million players.
Darcy Krogh, CEO of Global Daily Fantasy Sports, said: “We are very excited with the launch of our Italian facing DFS network and look forward to working with our partners to innovate and build daily fantasy sports in Italy, which is one of the largest gaming markets in Europe and is growing exponentially.
“2018 will bring new opportunities with the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia and the addition of new customers to join our DFS network in Italy.”
Italy is one of the fastest growing gaming markets in Europe with 2017 online revenues of €1.4bn, €500m of which came from sports betting.
Lottomatica is one of the largest firms in that market, holding an approximate 6% market share.”
The launch of the DFS network comes approximately seven months after Global Daily Fantasy Sports purchased Mondogoal’s operating assets, concluding its DFS-contract with Lottomatica.
