Data Skrive raises Series A financing round with Bettor Capital
Content automation platform also appoints investment partner Jake Kleiner to board of directors

Data Skrive has completed a Series A financing round, which the sports betting and igaming content automation platform will use to accelerate its growth and expand its reach throughout the space.
Data Skrive has also appointed Jake Kleiner, an investment partner at Bettor Capital, to its board of directors.
Bettor Capital, an early-stage venture firm that focuses on the US online gaming opportunity – and sports betting in particular – led the funding round, with contributions from existing Data Skrive investors.
“With sports betting now legal in 22 states, and bills passed in eight more states, we will use the funds to make important investments in engineering and product, expand internationally, and enable our customers to accelerate monetization through our platform,” said Data Skrive CEO Brad Weitz.
“At Bettor Capital, we are focused on investing in excellent businesses in the online gaming space that supply mission critical, high ROI capabilities to operators and other end-market participants,” added Kleiner.
“Data Skrive perfectly fits our thesis, and we are excited to help accelerate growth and momentum as the business continues to scale.”
Founded by Weitz, Gregg Bennett and Jordan Nilsen as a media company in 2013, Data Skrive pivoted to B2B provider in 2017 with the rollout of its automation platform.
Since then, the firm has assembled a deep client base of media outlets and sportsbooks, including Catena Media, ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and USA Today.
Data Skrive uses its platform to turn raw data into a range of automated content, such as blog posts, tweets, images, and videos, that its clients can leverage and customize if necessary.
Among its points of difference is automating each aspect of content marketing, from researching the topics of interest to optimizing performance for a given goal.
In addition to the services it provides to media companies and operators, Data Skrive is also the exclusive automation provider of sports betting for Associated Press.
