
Delaware egaming revenues slip for first time in 2016

 Declines in poker and video slots sees the stateâs online gaming revenue fall 7% sequentially
Delawareâs three online gaming operators saw revenues decline sequentially for the first time in 2016 in July, with online poker and video slots both slipping back.
Online gaming revenue for the state totalled $281,000 in July, a 7% drop from June, albeit a 98% rise year-on-year.
Video slots, which account for more than half of the overall market, fell by 8% sequentially to $161,000.
Poker, which enjoys shared liquidity with Nevada, continued its summer slump, falling 7% to $34,000.
Table games was the only vertical not to slip, growing 5% month-on-month to $86,500.
The decline was felt most keenly by Delaware Park, as the operator saw overall revenues fall 17% to $130,000.
Its two rivals both posted positive growth sequentially, with Dover Downs up 5% to $114,000 and Harrington growing 19% to $60,000.
The results mark the first time in 2016 that the state hasnât set a record for online gaming revenues.
