
Delaware egaming revenues up 6% in December
State ends 2015 on a high, but total full year net revenue down 14% YoY to $1.8mÂ
Delawareâs online gaming market ended the year on something of a high, with total net revenues up 6% year on year to $180,109 in December according to the latest figures published by the State Lottery. [private]
Growth was driven by lottery ticket sales, which increased a massive 215% to $129,985, enough to offset a significant 80% decline in online casino revenue to just $18,999.
It marks the second month of major year on year decline in the online casino vertical after revenues fell 42% YoY to $55,105 in November.
Poker, meanwhile, enjoyed an 8% increase to $31,124.
The latest figures take full-year online revenues to $1.8m, a 14% decrease on 2014 where total new revenues reached $2.1m.
In December, Delaware Park continued to lead the charge with net revenues of $81,668, down a fairly substantial 32% on the previous year.
The operator appeared to have been hit with a major online casino pay-out, with net revenues from the vertical totalling just $410 for the month.
Lottery generated $58,695, while poker attracted $22,562 in rake.
Dover Downs made the biggest year on year gains, with net revenue up 187% to $77,323 with growth driven by casino and lottery ticket sales.
Harington Raceway continued to bring up the rear with total net revenues of $21,118, down 6% on the previous year with an increase in lottery ticket sales to $15,903 the only upside.
A total of 417 new accounts were created during the month, taking the total since launch back in November 2013 to 13,489.
