
Delaware online poker continues to flop
Vertical posts 35% year-on-year decline in September to just $37,865
Delawareâs online poker market suffered its worst month on record in September after attracting net revenues of just $24,523, according to the latest figures published by the state lottery. [private]
Both poker and casino game verticals posted declines of 35% (to $37,865) and 24% respectively, despite Delaware now sharing poker liquidity with Nevada.
Total online gaming net revenues for the month were up 7% year-on-year to $156,125 driven by a 71% increase in online lottery ticket sale to $93,737.
Delaware Park continued to lead the charge with total net revenues of $69,738, with casino contributing $23,642 (down 46% YoY), video lottery $30,024, and poker just $16,070.
Dover Downs remained in second place, but closed the gap to the market leader with total new revenues of $59,934 and the only operator to post YoY and sequential growth.
The month-on-month increase was driven by a 50% uptick in online lottery ticket sales, which generated revenues of $46,144 in September.
Harington Raceway continued to bring up the rear with net revenues of $26,453, an impressive 55% uplift on the previous year.
A total of 330 new online egaming accounts were created in September, taking the total since launch in November 2013 to 12,257.
