
DoubleDown revenues reach $317m in FY15
Social casino developer continues shift from desktop to mobile with the channel accounting for 53% of play in Q3Â
Social casino developer DoubleDown Interactive saw revenues increase 8% to $317m during FY15, parent company IGT revealed this morning. [private]
While monthly active users (MAUs) fell 22% to 4.5 million, daily active users (DAU) increased 2.5% to 1.9 million, with bookings per DAU up 7% to $0.47m.
DoubleDown continued to push ahead with its shift from Facebook/desktop to mobile, with mobile penetration reaching 53% during Q4 â up 35% year on year.
IGT also broke out DoubleDown Q4 revenues, which increased 5% YoY to $84m with DAUs flat at 1.9 million and MAUs down 15% to 4.4 million.
Following its merger with GTECH, IGT split its business into four arms â International, Italy, North America Lottery, and North America Gaming & Interactive.
Revenues from North America Gaming & Interactive reached $1.1bn for FY15, but include land-based machine sales.
And while IGT broke out revenues from its DoubleDown social casino business, the supplier giant did not separate interactive revenues from land-based gaming revenues.
