
DraftKings appoints global CMO
Janet Holian will take up the newly created role at the daily fantasy sports operator
Daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator DraftKings has named Janet Holian as its first global chief marketing officer as it looks to take its brand and business âto the next levelâ. [private]
Holian will oversee worldwide revenue, advertising and sponsorships, brand licensing, game operations and events, plus its global marketing strategy and international expansion plans.
She has been working with DraftKings as an advisor since the firmâs inception, but will now take up a permanent full-time role at the Boston-based operator.
DraftKings said Holian was a âtrusted advisorâ, âtalented marketing executiveâ and âsteady and experienced leaderâ.
âI have long relied on her advice and guidance and am thrilled that she is joining DraftKings as our global chief marketing officer.

Holian joined DraftKings from online customer jewellery retailer Gemvara where she was CEO, and has also held senior roles at Vistaprint.
