DraftKings’ Golden Nugget Online Gaming VP steps down
Warren Steven leaves his role less than a year after DraftKings completed the acquisition of GNOG in a £1.2bn deal

DraftKings VP of Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG) Warren Steven has announced that he is stepping away from the role after just 10 months.
Steven departs the Boston-based operator giant less than a year after DraftKings completed the acquisition of GNOG in a £1.2bn in May 2022.
Steven has joined Libera Gaming Consultancy as a managing consultant following his departure.
Steven’s near-decade long spell with GNOG began in November 2013 as senior director of product and operations. He was made VP of product and operations in January 2021.
Before his time at Golden Nugget, Steven worked with French operator Betclic between May 2009 and November 2013, initially as head of casino and games before being promoted to gaming director in December 2011.
Steven also spent a year as a commercial manager for Paddy Power.
In a post on LinkedIn, Steven said: “What a ride it has been this last decade with Golden Nugget Online Gaming.
“So many people to thank for their mentorship, assistance and effort since starting on this amazing journey of being one of the first to launch in the regulated US online gaming industry, the SPAC and eventual sale to DraftKings, which is well set to take the GNOG brand to new heights.”
