DraftKings secures US livestreaming rights for Bundesliga
US operator taps partnership with sports data firm Sportradar to enhance sportsbook offering

DraftKings has secured livestreaming rights to the German Bundesliga, which has become the first top-tier European football league to resume amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The German top flight returned to action this weekend to buoy bookies and bettors following the Covid-19 sports shutdown in March.
DraftKings sportsbook customers will be able to watch live games on mobile on the condition they have more than $0 in their account balance.
Streams will only be available in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Colorado, West Virginia and New Hampshire.
The new offering was facilitated via DraftKings’ partnership with Sportradar, which bought the rights directly from the Bundesliga.
Sportradar’s Munich-based audio-visual MD Lukas Seiler spoke to EGR Intel about the return of the Bundesliga last week.
The Boston-based firm will also offer daily fantasy (DFS) content on the Bundesliga for the first time for global customers.
DraftKings last week announced Q1 2020 losses of $67m prior to its three-way merger with SBTech and Diamond Eagle.
CEO Jason Robins said the operator had pivoted to esports and virtual sports since almost all professional sports in the US were cancelled in March.
Billionaire businessman George Soros now holds a $66m stake in the operator.
