App development firm joins sports betting fray with new app
Fernhill betting app to target fan engagement and player loyalty instead of focusing on margins, CEO says

Mobile app development firm Fernhill Corporation has joined the US betting fray and is in the process of developing an in-house betting app.
According to recently appointed CEO Marc Lasky, the product will focus on fan engagement by rewarding loyal users.
“Where most companies with gaming apps of this type focus on margins, including fantasy sports apps like ‘Draft’ which was recently acquired for $48m, we are focused on building audience/fan engagement to monetize our audience toward multiple streams of revenues while rewarding active users throughout,” Lasky said.

Ferhill estimates the US betting market is growing at $10bn a year
The product will feature leader boards, loyalty programs and social forums to encourage discussion among players.
“We intend to make a notable dent in this growing multi-billion dollar space and I’ve got 25 years of sports handicapping experience behind me positioning us with winning experience with our target demographic,” Lasky added.
The firm is currently seeking beta testers for the app, which is in the process of being brought to market.
Lasky said the app was the first of a few to launch, all spanning different industries, as the firm seeks to grow the company and offer shareholders more accessibility.
