Entain debuts igaming brands in Ontario market
Bwin and partypoker join BetMGM in netting AGCO approval to commence operations

Entain brands bwin, PartyCasino, and partypoker have begun operating in Ontario, after having received clearance from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
The launch follows the debut of the BetMGM sportsbook brand in the province, which went live on April 4.
Under Ontarian regulations, operators must go through a registration process with AGCO, before signing a contract with iGaming Ontario, AGCO’s conduct and management entity.
To conform to regulations, Ontario-based PartyPoker players will be moved to the new on.partypoker.ca platform, with the site ringfenced to local players only, unless the games are also being conducted with another provincial government.
Once they are on the platform, players will be able to access poker, casino games, and sports betting all from one central hub.
Players’ cash balances will be transferred and converted into the new currency after players provide their consent to the new Ontario-specific terms and conditions and privacy policy, as well as reviewing their personal information and verifying their identity.
PartyPoker Sports brands managing director Vic Walla welcomed the launch of the trio of brands in Ontario.
“I am truly excited that all three of our Party brands are entering the Ontario market,” Walla said.
“Both recreational and professional players living in Ontario will be able to experience a world-class gaming product across poker, casino, and sports.
“As a Canadian and Toronto native myself, I am particularly proud of this moment in our company’s history,” he added.
