Evolution expands into Canada with new live casino studio
Supplier announces first major expansion outside of Europe following deal to provide live casino games and services to BCLC
Evolution Gaming is to make its first major expansion outside of Europe with the launch of a new live casino studio in Canada, the supplier announced today.
The company will build a new live casino studio in the Metro Vancouver area of British Columbia before the end of 2017 after signing a deal with British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC).
The five-year deal will see Evolution stream its live casino product via BCLC’s PlayNow.com website, including an initial 10 live table games for blackjack, baccarat and roulette.
Evolution Group CEO, Martin Carlesund, said the company’s expansion outside of Europe with BCLC signified a “huge breakthrough” for the business.
“Through this new partnership we are confident we will deliver the very best Live Casino experience for BCLC players, and an exceptional Live Casino studio facility for BCLC and other Canadian lottery jurisdictions in the future,” he said.
Evolution also said it expects its new 16,000 sq ft studio will support additional Canadian lottery corporations in the future.
The supplier, which recently struck a Mexico-facing deal with Codere, currently has a presence in Estonia, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
