FanDuel CPO departs to pursue start-up opportunities
numberFire founder Nik Bonaddio leaves FanDuel after four and a half years to pursue a early-stage tech ideas

FanDuel CPO Nik Bonaddio has stepped down from his position after four and a half years with the firm to pursue new ventures in the world of start-ups.
Bonaddio joined the firm in 2015 when FanDuel acquired his predictive analytics start-up numberFire.
He was initially brought on as VP for product to oversee a 32-person product and R&D team that developed analytics and research strategy to drive player acquisition and retention.
In 2017 he was promoted to CPO to lead the operator’s product development efforts.
Bonaddio said on his LinkedIn page he was extremely proud of the work achieved at FanDuel and numberFire.
“I can’t wait to see where they go next – it’s a special place and the sky’s the limit for where they’re going,” he said.
“It’s no exaggeration to say that my life was changed forever when numberFire became a part of the FanDuel team and I’m forever grateful.”
Bonaddio said his heart was in early-stage tech and he was going home, “back to the world of startups”.
He suggested he did not have any specific ideas but looked forward to “throwing a bunch of ideas at the wall”.
In a statement provided to EGR NA, FanDuel said: “Nik has been pivotal in creating a common user experience across FanDuel’s various products making FanDuel a market leader, and demonstrating a track record of delivering innovative, best-in-class products across all aspects of sports.”
FanDuel did not comment on whether it has secured a replacement for Bonaddio.
