FanDuel launches online betting in Pennsylvania
App is available via iOS and is accompanied by a multi-channel marketing campaign to promote the product

FanDuel has launched its online and mobile betting product in Pennsylvania in partnership with Valley Forge Casino and Boyd Gaming.
The operator has initiated a multi-channel marketing campaign to promote the new product, including TV, digital and radio ads.
The firm’s app is available in both Android and iOS and offers users cash-out and live betting on a number of sports including football, basketball, baseball, golf, soccer and tennis.
FanDuel CMO Mike Raffensperger said the operator was leveraging its expertise in creating world-class fantasy and betting experiences to build the best online betting platform in Pennsylvania.
“We became the number one sports betting operator in New Jersey by focusing on the customer experience and we can’t wait for sports fans in Pennsylvania to join the party,” Raffensperger said.
The presence of an iOS app could give the operator an edge in the state, with other firms struggling to pass Apple’s parameters.
FanDuel topped New Jersey’s June betting revenues generating $4.4m via its Meadowlands license.
Rush Street Interactive launched its BetRivers site and app in the state in June. Users are able to access the site via mobile browser on their Apple mobile devices using a geolocation tracker app.
SugarHouse and Parx casinos also went live with online betting in May and June, with both reporting online revenues of $465,096 and $18,432 in June.
Online betting accounted for 18% of the state’s overall revenues for June.
