FanDuel taps into Amazon marketing platform for comms exec hire
Chris Jones will lead the operator’s responsible gambling and CSR efforts, as well as reporting on its financial performance via Flutter presentations

FanDuel has appointed former CMO of Amazon-owned marketing tech platform Sizmek, Chris Jones, to lead its responsible gambling and CSR efforts.
As a VP of corporate communications, Jones will liaise with parent company Flutter Entertainment and work to report the US business’ financial performance.
His career spans 25 years in leading marketing and comms roles including chief communications officer for IPG Mediabrands, the media, marketing, and data division of Interpublic Group.
While at Sizmek, Jones led the company’s comms strategy and response during its sale to Amazon in 2019.
Jones began his career at ESPN Networks.
“Chris is a measured and seasoned executive with strong crisis management skills and experience communicating complex business issues,” FanDuel CEO Matt King said.
“As we continue to be a leader in the evolving landscape of legalized sports wagering, I am delighted to have someone with his depth and breadth of experience on our team,” he added.
Jones will be based in FanDuel’s New York headquarters and will report to CMO Mike Raffensperger.
In October, the operator hired former Groupon CPO Sarah Butterfass to lead its product development team.
