Foxwoods launches revamped social casino on new platform

Greentube replaces GAN as platform provider
Foxwoods Casino launched a new version of its online social casino this morning, powered by Greentube.
Novomatic-subsidiary Greentube replaces GAN as the platform provider, with Greentubeâs president of market development, Gabriel Cianchetto, claiming his firmâs social casino focus was the differentiator.
âGAN came in with a real money gaming (RMG) platform but there isnât a RMG market,â said Cianchetto. âWhereas we built our platform to be social from the ground up,â he added.
The relaunched product, available on desktop and in app format for iOS and Android, is designed primarily to be a marketing tool and drive customers back to the brick-and-mortar casino rather than generate revenue through selling virtual currency, a Greentube spokesperson told EGR North America.
The platform features an improved rewards system that offers players real life experiences in the Foxwoods resort, as well as a more seamless transition between the mobile and desktop versions.
The look and feel of the product is also designed to mimic the real Foxwoods casino to appeal to frequent visitors.
âBy leveraging Greentube capabilities, we have furthered Foxwoods as the industry leader across all gaming verticals,â said Rodney Butler, chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, which operates Foxwoods.
