GAN hires former Ticketmaster CFO to lead US push
Rey del Valle will bring his 25 years of experience in the US tech space to the casino platform provider

GAN has hired former SVP finance for programmatic advertising technology firm OpenX Rey del Valle as its CFO designate following the departure of group CFO and exec director Richard Santiago.
Del Valle has spent 25 years in the tech industry in the US having held a number of finance and corporate strategy roles at Ticketmaster, Disney, MTV and Youbet, an ecommerce platform sold to Churchill Downs in 2010.
Santiago will leave the firm on July 19 to pursue a role outside of the industry.
GAN CEO Dermot Smurfit said: “I look forward to continuing to work closely with Richard and the finance team in the months ahead as we onboard his successor Rey del Valle and maintain full momentum on executing GAN’s growth strategy.”
Del Valle said: “This is an extraordinary opportunity to join Dermot and his leadership team to help develop their unique software-as-a-service tech company with a hard-earned market leading position in the fast-regulating US internet gambling market.
GAN has also welcomed the legalization of betting in Indiana last week. It expects to service a number of land-based casinos in the state.
