GAN to produce Cordish Gaming Group online casino in Pennsylvania
Retail gaming operator to join PA igaming fray as it launches two new casinos in the state during H2 2020

Gaming platform supplier GAN has signed a deal with casino operator Cordish Gaming Group to power its online casino brand PlayLive in Pennsylvania.
The firm’s mobile and desktop casino will launch in H2 2020 ahead of the opening of Cordish Gaming Group’s two new brick-and-mortar casinos in Philadelphia and Pittsburg.
It will make use of the group’s Live! Rewards loyalty programme, which will be made available to both retail and online players.
GAN will use its iBridge Framework platform to develop an omni-channel experience for the operator.
GAN CEO Dermot Smurfit said: “We look forward to supporting [the group’s] on-property gaming business by leveraging our US patented iBridge Framework, bridging the internet gambling experience with that of retail gaming.
“Online will remain the growth driver of this Industry for decades to come, not just in Pennsylvania but across the nation,” he added.
Cordish Gaming Group president Robert Norton said: “With our established relationship, GAN was the logical provider of our enterprise platform for launching real money internet gambling and offers Cordish the ability to extend on-property rewards into the online channel, which has been shown to increase loyalty amongst players of simulated gaming.”
Cordish Gaming Group is partnered with GAN gaming client FanDuel to offer sports betting across a number of its properties.
Pennsylvania reported record igaming revenue of $43m in April. The figure includes online poker.
The market saw the addition of Caesars Interactive in March as an igaming operator, bringing the number of licensees up to eight.
