GiG approved for Hard Rock platform launch
Oslo-listed firm receives transactional waiver from the New Jersey DGE

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has been certified by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) to provide its real-money online casino platform in the state.
GiG yesterday announced it had been given a transactional waiver, essentially allowing it to provide services while its application for a full Casino Service Industry Enterprise Licence (CSIE) is completed.
The approval means GiG can power the online casino site for the Hard Rock Atlantic City, as agreed in February.
The Hard Rock, which officially opened its doors yesterday said the online casino will go live later this month, with plans to launch sports betting “eventually”.
Hard Rock said it would partner with a provider for a sportsbook, but did not specify whether that would be GiG, which recently launched a full-scale sports betting platform of its own.
“We are delighted to now be going live with Hard Rock in New Jersey, a first step in our mutually ambitious plans to take market share in the regulated online gambling market in the US,” said Robin Reed, CEO of GiG.
The five-year contract between the two companies could be expanded to other states in the US and other countries around the world, pending a successful launch and positive regulatory developments.
