
Golden Nugget breaks $5m revenue barrier
The Nugget and its licensees set a new revenue record as overall state win jumps 27%


The Golden Nugget has become the first New Jersey operator to top the $5m revenue mark in a month, following a 66% year-on-year jump in February.
The $5.2m generated also marked a $400,000 jump from January, although the operator received help from its sub-licensees, Betfair and PlaySugarHouse, which estimated to account for 40% and 10% of revenues respectively.
The Nugget spearheaded another profitable month for New Jersey operators, with the total online market growing 27% year-on-year to $18.7m.
The total was down by around $100,000 sequentially, although February had three fewer days than January.
Online casino continued to do the heavy lifting after growing 30% year on year to $16.6m, while poker grew 9% to $2.2m.
Elsewhere, Borgata retook the second spot in the market after surrendering it to Caesars last month, with revenues of $3.7m – an 11% drop year-on-year.
Caesars dropped to the third spot, with 16% revenue growth to $3.5m, while Tropicana came in fourth with $3.1m and Resorts reported revenues of $3.1m.
Over in Delaware, the state’s three egaming operators enjoyed a 28% sequential jump in revenues to $251,000.
Delaware Park enjoyed the best month, with revenues almost doubling to $121,000.
