Golden Nugget hails impact of live casino

Operator surges to the top of the New Jersey market two months after launching new product
The Golden Nugget has hailed the impact of its live casino product after it topped the digital revenues table in New Jersey for the first time.
The operator overtook the Borgata to become the stateâs largest egaming operator, with revenues up 51% year-on-year to $3.66m.
The figures were aided by the launch of the Sugar House Casino on its licence, as well as the existing Betfair casino which has been backed by a new marketing campaign this month.
However, speaking exclusively to EGR NA, the Golden Nuggetâs VP of online gaming, Thomas Winter, praised the benefits of the Ezugi-powered live dealer product in its second full month after launch.
âThe addition of the first and only live dealer offer in the US in August is obviously a big plus in terms of revenues but also as a differentiator in a very crowded field (14 online casino brands), which helps player acquisition and revenue alike,â Winter said.
âThere are still many ways we can enhance the live dealer product and overall experience but feedback from players is very positive and results are already in line with if not above our expectations.â
The Golden Nugget has already added a second live blackjack table on weekends, and claims it is seeing âa material shareâ of its live casino players made up by completely new players.
The surge in September continues the Golden Nuggetâs momentum from August when revenues were up 31% year on year.
