
Golden Nugget maintains New Jersey lead as Borgata slips to third
Overall online gaming market continues to flourish with 29% year-on-year growth in January


The Golden Nugget continued to dominate the New Jersey egaming market in January, posting a 91% year-on-year increase in revenues to $4.8m
It marked the second consecutive month the Nugget hit that revenue mark, albeit with help from its sub-licensees, Betfair and PlaySugarHouse, which account for 40% and 10% of revenues respectively, according to estimates from Eilers & Krejick.
The Golden Nugget spearheaded another profitable month for the state’s five egaming operators, with total online revenues up 29% year-on-year to $18.8m.
That also marked a $400,000 increase sequentially, with online casino up 32% to $16.5m and online poker up 9% to $2.3m.
Caesars took over the second spot in the market, growing 25% to $4m, while the Borgata slipped 18% to $3.8m.
Resorts came in fourth in the market with January revenues of $3.2m, slightly ahead of $3.1m for Tropicana
