Kindred extends US reach to Illinois and Ohio via Penn National deal
Operator to leverage platform partnerships with Pala Interactive and Kambi as it eyes new states

Kindred has gained market access to launch betting and gaming in Illinois and Ohio via an agreement with Penn National Gaming.
The operator will extend its third-party igaming and betting technology deals with Pala Interactive and Kambi into the two additional states.
The operator will be licensed under the Argosy Casino Alton in Illinois and the Hollywood Casino in Ohio via the 10-year deal.
Kindred US SVP Manuel Stan said: “Extending our footprint in the US by establishing our brand in two key states like Illinois and Ohio is very exciting for us.
“Putting Illinois and Ohio on the list together with New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Iowa and Indiana, shows our commitment to establishing Unibet in the US,” he added.
“Illinois is one of the largest US states and it will be the next state that we are targeting to launch.”
The operator launched in Indiana in July after making $7.7m in revenue for its US business in Q2, an increase of 131% from the previous quarter.
Illinois recently dismissed its in-person registration requirement for sports betting operators, although it will be renewed again at the end of September.
