Michigan State Lottery completes landmark RGS integration

New partnership with IWG will make 300 online instant game available to Michigan players
Michigan has become the first US lottery to integrate a Remote Game Server (RGS) into its platform through a new partnership with Instant Win Gaming (IWG).
The deal will see Michigan lottery players have access to IWGâs entire catalogue of 300+ online and mobile instant win games.
âWe are excited about offering our players the new and exciting games provided by IWG,â said Jason Lisiecki, the digital products director at the Michigan Lottery.
âTheir products will be a great complement to our existing online games portfolio and we expect them to be popular with players.â
Rhydian Fisher, IWG CEO, added: âWeâre excited and proud to complete the first RGS integration onto a US lottery. Weâve worked with Michigan Lottery for some time and theyâve been a fantastic partner
âThis really does open up some unique content for US lottery players. There is huge demand for instant win content in addition to the traditional lottery products and weâre passionate about delivering the very best instant win games that entertain and engage players.â
Since going online in November 2014, more than 401,000 players have registered to play internet games in Michigan, with these players wagering $147 million in the first full year of online games alone.
Preliminary numbers for the 2016 fiscal year suggest that number will more than double.
