
Nevada betting revenues up 156% in July
Rhode Island earnings slip 61% on previous month with Twin Riverton taking majority of bets


Nevada betting revenues soared 156% to $10.5m in July, compared to the previous year.
In a similar trend to New Jersey and Delaware’s July numbers, the state’s handle fell on the previous year by 4% despite recording higher revenues, suggesting a 4.4% hold rate.
New Jersey recorded July revenues of $17.9m, surpassing Nevada as the highest earning state for the second consecutive month.
Baseball bets made up 82% of Nevada’s overall revenues, with July a typically slow month for sports.
Total handle for the month was $235.7m, 7% lower than New Jersey’s July handle of $251.4m.
Elsewhere in Rhode Island, betting earnings decreased 61% on the previous month to $827,579.
Handle also slipped 44% to $14.7m as the Twin River Tiverton Casino took the majority of bets, accounting for 12% of overall handle.
New Jersey’s July earnings were up 371% on the previous year when betting was into its second month of existence.
Delaware revenues were also up 10% in July with the state’s three licensed sportsbooks recording a combined revenue of $507,410.
