
New Jersey online market jumps 31% in August

Casino and poker both up year-on-year but casino slips back sequentially
 New Jerseyâs five egaming operators posted total win of $16.1m in August, marking a 32% year-on-year jump.
Online casino accounted for most of the uptick, growing 36% to $13.9m, while poker grew 10% to $2.2m.
Despite the year-on-year growth, the August figures marked a sequential drop-off, with online gaming win down 7% compared to Julyâs record mark.
For the year-to-date, online gaming win was $128.3m, up 33% from $96.7m during the same period last year.
The Borgata and its GVC-powered sites continued to lead the New Jersey market with a $3.7m share, followed by the Golden Nugget and its Betfair casino at $3.5m.
Meanwhile, the Golden Nugget reported 54% year-on-year growth in the first month since launching its live casino product.
Caesarâs Interactive (CIE)Â held third place with a 19% market share, while Resorts took fourth place, as PokerStars increased its share of the poker market.
In total, the Resorts/PokerStars combination accounted for 40% of the market with CIE/WSOP/888 at 32% and Borgata/PartyPoker at 28%.
