
New Jersey online revenues reach $12.5m in July
Latest numbers take the stateâs total online gross win so far this year to $84.5m, a 15% increase on the same time last year
Revenues from New Jerseyâs online gaming market grew by almost a quarter in July compared with same period last year with casino offsetting poker decline, according to the latest figures released by the Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE). [private]
Total gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the month reached $12.5m, up 24% on last year and 7% sequentially with online casino growth of 34% to $10.6m helping to mitigate a 12% decline in poker revenues to just $1.9m.
Borgata remained the market leader in terms of gross win with GGR of $3.8m in July, with $2.8m coming from casino and $1m from poker. And while the operatorâs casino business increased 33% YoY, poker fell around 10% during the period.
Tropicana and Golden Nugget both jumped Caesars Interactive to claim third and fourth spots with GGR of $2.74m and $2.72m respectively from their online casino sites.
Tropicanaâs numbers include contributions from VirginCasino while Golden Nuggetâs includes revenues from Betfair.
Caesars Interactive slipped down the pecking order with GGR of $2.6m, with $1.7m coming for the casino vertical and $0.9m from poker. Caesars casino revenues remained flat year on year, however poker fell 10% compared with last year.
Resorts Casino, which launched in the Garden State at the end of February, saw revenues increase 40% sequentially to $558,316. But the operator looks set to get a major boost after it launched a Mohegan Sun branded skin last month.
