
New Jersey posts record month in November
GGR reaches all time high of $13.2m driven by a 64% hike in online casino revenue during the monthÂ
The New Jersey online gaming market enjoyed its best month on record in November with revenues up 50% YoY according to the latest figures revealed by the stateâs Division of Gaming Enforcement. [private]
Gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the month reached $13.2m, topping the previous record of $13.1m set in March this year. Online casino contributed $11.3m, up 64% YoY, while poker generated $1.9m, up 4.3% YoY, during the month.
Borgata, whose brands include partypoker, partycasino and PalaCasino, remained the market leader in terms of gross win with revenues of $4.1m with $1.1m coming from poker and $3m from casino.
And while poker jumped 22% YoY, casino increased a 71% during the same period.
Tropicana, which also includes contributions from Gamesysâ Virgin Casino site, beat Caesars Interactive into second place as it generated GGR of $3m which represented a 36% increase on November 2014.
Caesars Interactive, which operates the CaesarsCasino, HarrahsCasino and 888poker and casino brands, slipped back to third despite revenues increasing 145% YoY to $2.7m. Casino attracted $2.7m during the month while poker generated $0.8m.
Golden Nugget saw revenues fall 18% MoM to $2.2m, which the operator attributed to a low hold percentage on both GoldenNuggetCasino and BetfairCasino, and reduced marketing spend while it switched to its new NYX-powered platform.
Resorts Casino posted its best month to date, passing the million dollar mark and generating GGR of $1.2m from its ResortsCasino and MoheganSunCasino sites.
The November numbers take New Jerseyâs total GGR for the year to date to $134.8m, up 20% on last year.
