NYX Gaming’s US boss departs

Leon Thomas has left the supplier less than six months after joining as MD of US operations 

NYX Gaming’s managing director of North America Leon Thomas has left the supplier less than six months after taking up the role. [private]

Thomas is the former managing director of Tombola, and in November 2014 moved stateside to take up the role of GM of online gaming at Caesars Interactive.

Following a brief stint at the operator he moved to NYX Gaming in the newly created position of MD of US operations.

However, Thomas has now joined the Rank Group as chief operating officer of its digital bingo brands, which include Mecca and Enracha.

Rank said he would be responsible for driving growth as well as playing a leading role in the overall strategy as part of the operator’s mission to become a leader in the UK market.

Rank CEO Henry Birch said he was delighted that Thomas was joining his team.

“With Leon’s wealth of experience, I am confident he will help us to take our digital based bingo, in the UK and internationally, to the next level, giving our customers a seamless multi-channel experience,” he added.
