Playmaker adds Ontario finance veteran to board of directors
Private equity expert Nicole Musicco joins board of digital sports media company

Sports media and affiliate firm Playmaker has appointed finance veteran Nicole Musicco to its board of directors.
Musicco joins the Canadian company after spending more than 18 years working across private equity and investment.
She currently serves as a partner for RedBird Capital Partners, a US private investment firm which manages $5bn in assets.
Prior to joining RedBird, Musicco spent a year as senior MD of private markets with the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario from December 2018 until December 2019.
She also spent more than 16 years with the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in a variety of roles, culminating in her position as senior MD and head of public equities.
Jordan Gnat, Playmaker CEO, said: “We are grateful that Nicole has agreed to join our board and for the experience she brings to our team.
“Nicole’s Canadian and international sports experience with RedBird makes her the perfect fit to bolster our distinguished board of directors,” he added.
Musicco’s appointment to the board follows the resignation of Jake Cassaday. However, Cassaday will remain in his role as COO, a position he has held since June 2021.
In the same month, Playmaker listed on the Toronto Ventures Exchange.
