PointsBet inks Curling Canada sports betting partnership
Operator’s Canadian subsidiary to become title sponsor of Season of Champions event in 2022-23

PointsBet has agreed a long-term partnership to become the official sports betting partner of Curling Canada.
The partnership, which focuses on fan engagement, will also see PointsBet become a title sponsor of Curling Canada’s Season of Champions event during the 2022-23 campaign.
The deal includes complete category exclusivity in sportsbook and online casino for all Curling Canada events, including 300 broadcast hours and more than 350 repeat hours per season.
PointsBet will also have sole use of the designation ‘Official Sports Betting Partner of Curling Canada’ and the right to use Curling Canada, Season of Champions, and official event marks in its marketing.
PointsBet Canada CEO Scott Vanderwel welcomed the deal by highlighting Curling Canada’s cultural significance in Canada’s history and national identity.
“Our partnership with Curling Canada will not only support community-based sports but bring curling fans an unprecedented experience from coast-to-coast,” Vanderwel added.
Curling Canada CEO Katherine Henderson added: “With the passing of legalized sports betting by the federal government this past summer, we knew that there would be many opportunities available for our sport to be part of a new, legal, and regulated way for fans to enjoy our events.
“PointsBet’s track record speaks for itself, as the company has existing partnerships with a variety of highly regarded partners around the world, and we couldn’t be happier to enter into this new venture with an industry leader,” Henderson added.
PointsBet Canada has also revealed its expectation to begin sports betting operations in Ontario during Q1 2022.
Last month, PointsBet Canada agreed a deal to become the official and exclusive sports betting partner of Canadian hockey content providers dailyfaceoff.com and The Nation Network.
