PointsBet joins NFL’s approved sports betting firm list
Australia-headquartered firm added to list of approved sportsbooks, joining DraftKings, Caesars, and FanDuel

PointsBet has become the latest sports betting operator to be selected by the NFL as an approved sportsbook operator, ahead of the start of the new NFL season.
The approval will see PointsBet gain access to sponsorship opportunities and brand visibility via unique integrations across various TV and online assets, including NFL-owned networks as well as its full suite of media partners.
PointsBet also gains use of official NFL data, provided by Genius Sports as part of the relationship.
The approval sees PointsBet join an exclusive list of NFL sports betting partners including DraftKings, FanDuel, and Caesars, which were confirmed as the league’s inaugural sports betting partners in April.
It is understood fellow operators WynnBet and BetMGM have also been approved in this latest tranche.
PointsBet US CEO Johnny Aitken highlighted the approval as the “cornerstone” of the firm’s sports betting strategy for the forthcoming NFL season.
“Through our fixed odds and unique PointsBetting platform, we seek to offer the most NFL pre-game betting options,” Aitken explained.
“This relationship now complements that pre-game offering with a heightened in-play experience as we continue to expand our national footprint on a more seamless and reliable app across every customer touchpoint,” he added.
In July, PointsBet added ex-NFL superstar Drew Brees as its latest global brand ambassador.
The NFL veteran, who has recently transitioned to becoming a pundit for NBC Sports, has signed a multi-year deal with the sportsbook operator.
Brees also took an equity stake in the business as part of the agreement. As global brand ambassador, Brees will both star in and help develop original content for PointsBet, lead watch parties, and steer marketing and promotional concepts.
