PointsBet secures Alpine Canada Alpin sports betting deal
Canada-facing sportsbook operator agrees multi-year deal with national skiing body

PointsBet Canada has signed a multi-year deal to become the official sportsbook operator of Alpine Canada Alpin (ACA), Canada’s national skiing governing body.
The ACA is the body responsible for Canada’s national alpine, para-alpine, and ski cross teams and provides support to athletes at both Olympic and Paralympic as well as championship level.
Currently, ACA is among the top-10 world ranking in alpine (number 10), para-alpine (number three), and ski cross (number one) disciplines and houses the reigning Olympic gold medalists in men’s and women’s ski cross.
The partnership between the two will see PointsBet Canada gain access to ACA’s marketing assets, with the aim of providing one-off fan-led experiences geared towards Canadian bettors.
The multi-year agreement commences with the current 2021-2022 season.
“Alpine Canada is thrilled to welcome PointsBet to the ACA corporate family,” ACA CEO and president Therese Brisson said.
“They are a true Canadian operator in an exciting emerging space, and their support of athletes and the ski community in Canada is a wonderful reflection of that,” she added.
PointsBet Canada is one of a number of prospective operators looking to capitalize on the Canadian sports betting market following the legalization of single-event sports betting in August 2021.
The firm has made a number of betting-led deals with Canada-facing sporting organizations including the NHL Alumni Association and Curling Canada.
These deals have been mirrored by a similar expansion of its media presence, through agreements with Canadian hockey content providers dailyfaceoff.com and The Nation Network.
