The hearing is due to take place in the Saltonstall state building, and will discuss a number of measures proposed by the stateâs Attorney General Maura Healey back in November, reports the Associated Press.
The measures put forward by Healey include blocking players under the age of 21 from taking part in contests, increased transparency and limits on advertising.
Operators would also be required to protect player deposits, ensure robust data and security measures are in place, address problem gamblers, and change games to provide a more level playing field.
The AGâs office said it had begun its investigation into DFS earlier this year and that its probe was still ongoing with the proposed regulations a reaction to some concerns it had raised so far.
Massachusetts is among a growing number of states taking a closer look at how daily fantasy sports sits alongside gambling and gaming law.
And while some states such as New York and Illinois has declared DFS illegal gambling and have moved to shutdown FanDuel and DraftKings, Massachusetts is looking to legalize and regulate the sector.
Lawmakers in California have taken a similar approach, passing DFS legislation out of Committee for the first time last week.
