SBTech establishes new role to boost US reach
Joann Pierce joins the company from racing betting supplier ISI Race & Sports
Sports betting supplier SBTech has hired Joann Pierce in the newly-established US-focused role of business development executive USA to broaden its reach in the market.
Pierce previously worked as an independent contractor for sports and racing betting supplier ISI Race & Sports.
She also spent time at business software provider SAP and Las Vegas gaming provider WMS Gaming, where she led the gaming operations team.
SBTech CEO Richard Carter said: “We are excited to have Joann onboard as she has extensive experience in sports technology and the gaming sector.
“SBTech is focused on expanding our team and business here in the United States and we know that Joann will be a perfect addition for us to accomplish this goal,” Carter added.
In October 2017, the supplier announced it was opening a US base in Las Vegas to help it forge links with land-based gambling partners in the market.
The supplier launched Resorts Digital’s New Jersey sportsbook site in February and signed a deal with Pala Interactive to provide its B2B partners with SBTech’s sportsbook offering in January.
