Deal will see the supplier acquire the Bingo Showdown developer for an undisclosed amount

Scientific Games has acquired mobile and social games developer Spicerack Media for an undisclosed amount, as the supplier continues to expand its presence in the social casino space.
Privately held Spicerack Media was founded in 2007 and is the creator of the Bingo Showdown game app, which was a top five social bingo title last year and constitutes the majority of Spicerack’s revenue.
Davy Campano, one of the founders of Spicerack Media, said: “We are excited to bring our product portfolio into a company with the reputation of Scientific Games.
“Their interactive business has seen rapid growth over a sustained period of time, and we are proud to be joining such a successful part of the company.”
The acquisition of Spicerack Media, which was advised by Daniel Burns and Adele Sinclair of Oakvale Capital LLP, will see Scientific Games strengthen its current position in the social casino market.
According to research firm Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, Scientific Games is the second-largest social casino company in the world behind Playtika.
Barry Cottle, CEO of SG Interactive, added: “We are excited by the addition of Spicerack’s talented team and complementary nature of their successful bingo game offering to our expanding portfolio of rapidly growing social casino apps.
“The acquisition will be immediately accretive and provide additional momentum in the mobile gaming space, as we look to exceed players’ expectations of exciting and engaging gaming entertainment experiences.”
